Perkovic first in women's discus throw in Shanghai
Croatia's Sandra Perkovic won the discus throw event for women at a Diamond League meeting in Shanghai on Saturday with a throw of 68.24 metres, setting a new Croatian record and a record at the meeting.
Stephanie Brown Trafton of the US was second with a throw of 64.20 metres, while Dani Samuels of Australia was third, throwing 62.34 metres.
