Budetic wins bronze in men's javelin throw

Croatian athlete Branimir Budetic won the bronze in the men's javelin throw at the Paralympic Games in London on Wednesday by throwing 56.78 metres and scoring 943 points.

The gold went to Pengkai Zhu of China, while Sajad Nikparast of Iran won the silver.

Budetic won the fifth medal for Croatia at the London games and the 14th at the Paralympics to date. Mihovil Spanja won the bronze in the men's 100m backstroke, Mikela Ristoski the bronze in the women's long jump, Darko Kralj the silver in the men's shot put and Zoran Talic the silver in the men's long jump.
