Sinkovic brothers win gold, women's crew takes bronze

The brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic of Croatia won a gold medal in the men's double sculls event at the European Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy on Sunday, clocking in at 6:14.25.

The silver went to Italians Alessio Sartori and Romano Battisti (6:15.17), while Norway's Nils Jakob Hoff and Kjetill Borch took the bronze with a a time of 6:17.78.

Croatia's Sonja Keserac and Maja Anic captured a bronze medal in the women's double sculls without coxswain with a time of 7:18.91. Romanians Camelia Lupascu and Nicoleta Albu won the gold and Britons Caragh McMurtry and Olivia Carnegie Brown took the bronze.
